Kalkan - Ortaalan

Built in 2003 to an exceptionally high standard, being one of four large detached villas with its own generous swimming pool, within easy access from the village of Kalkan, and set in an Olive grove with a few surrounding villas...

The entrance to the villa is down steps from a private car park. It has stunning views of what we call the sleeping Elephant Rock and the coast around Kalkan bay.

The villa is very spacious and airy with good air-conditioning throughout all the rooms. It has been designed to create a feeling of light and space and has been furnished to a very high and personal standard, to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

On entering the villa you step into a large kitchen-living room at one end a very large comfortable cane sofa which doubles as a bed for two, and a chaise-longue, which is the size of a single bed.This room is tastefully furnished and has an excellent cd player, a good selection of CDs for your use and recently an LCD/DVD have been added, along with a collection of DVD's left by the various guests!

The kitchen is at the further end, with fridge-freezer, cooker and gas hob, water-filter container, toaser, and usual fitted cupboards and is well equipped throughout. There is a marble-topped dining table and chairs. Off this large room is another bathroom with shower, basin and toilet, and discretly hidden in some storage cupboards is the washing machine for your use.

The two sets of French doors lead you out to the terrace and gardens, planted with maturing Orange and Lemon trees as well as glorious Bougainvillea and Oleander and many potted plants.

The pool is large, with no shallow end, and is approx 5x7mtrs, unsuitable for diving and small children must be supervised at all times. There is a built-in stone barbeque, and a delightful Ottoman-style seating area for shade, as well as sun-loungers and a pretty iron table and chairs for eating al fresco.The garden and actual pool have lights for the evenings.

Inside, the open spiral staircase leads to the first floor, which has the two bedrooms, one with a generous double bed, plenty of room for a second bed or a cot, the twin room also with a spare zed-bed for a third occupant,Both these rooms have en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning, and they open out onto a large covered balcony, ideal for breakfasts or late night relaxing.

Upstairs again to the top floor, where there is a small landing with a storage cupboard, and entrance to the third double bedroom which has very recently been added with en-suite bathroom, and access to a dedicated private balcony with table and chairs and the same stunning views over Kalkan bay and behind to the Taurus mountain.

Whether you choose to spend your time in Villa during the wonderful summer months, where swimming reading and relaxing are all you crave, or if you choose to be more adventurous, the position and space it offers and the easy access of Kalkan to places of interest, beaches and larger towns make it a perfect base for your stay. The cooler months offer their own quiet pleasures and, should you need them, the villa has heaters in each room as well as an excellent log fire.
